Jessica Annquenette Harris

Jessica Annquenette Harris was born in Gaffney, S.C. on September 19, 1983, and resided in Concord N.C. She was the daughter of Steven Harris and Tammy McCluney; reared in the home of her god-mother, Mary Douglas of Gaffney, S.C.

At an early age, she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She joined Bethel Baptist Church and was a former member of the Buds of Promise, Young Adult Choir, Adopted Daughters and Usher Board.

She was a 2001 graduate of Gaffney Senior High School. She received an Associate Degree from Spartanburg Technical College and Bachelors Degree from Strayer University. She was employed with Amerisource Bergen as a Reimbursement Counselor in Fort Mill, S.C.

Jessica transitioned from earth to eternity on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in Concord, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ernest “Butch” Mc- Cluney, Edna “Tutter’ McCluney and Floyd Harris.

She leaves precious memories to a daughter, Princess Ansley Symone Poole; parents, Steven Harris, Tammy McCluney, and Mary Douglas; grandmother, Anna Marie Harris; special friend, Demarius Poole; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be Friday, November 30th at 1 p.m. in Limestone Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. J.W. Sanders, Jr., presiding, and Rev. James Patton, Jr., eulogist. She will be in state in church at 12 noon.

Minnie Lee Watkins Littlejohn

Minnie Lee Watkins Littlejohn, of 238 North Green River Road, Gaffney, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 11, 2017.

Minnie was born in Gaffney, South Carolina on August 25, 1925, to the late Will and Maggie Jane Watkins. She was also the stepdaughter of the late Grady and Flora Watkins. Two sisters, Willie Mae Johnson and Rose A. Smith, preceded her in death. She was the devoted wife of the late Rochelle Littlejohn and they were the parents of six children. Four daughters, Shirley Pough, Brenda Duncan, Dicy Crosby, and Maggie Studyvance, preceded her in death.

At an early age, she accepted Christ and joined Suck Creek Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, a member of the Sunday School Department, member of the Pastor’s Aide, and a former member of the Macomson Choir. She was a “Martha” in the Victor Chapter No. 35 Order of the Eastern Star.

She leaves to cherish fond memories: two sons, Deacon Willie Lee Littlejohn of the home and Donnie Littlejohn of Lexington, N.C.; two adopted daughters Mary Davis (Willie) and Pat McIntire of Columbia, S.C.; an adopted son Thomas Hampton of Chesnee, S.C.; two cousins reared in the home as brothers, Spencer Humphries of Gaffney and Gaither Humphries of Boiling Springs; fourteen grandchildren, including two reared in the home as children, Rubin Littlejohn and Sherry Reid of Gaffney, S.C.; 29 greatgrandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 16th, at 3 p.m. in Suck Creek Baptist Church, Gaffney, SC. Rev. Tony Macomson officiating. She will be in state in church at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Cheryl Bonner Miller

Mrs. Cheryl Bonner Miller, 63, of 2252 Mancke Drive, Rock Hill, S.C., was born in Cherokee County to Mary Magdalene Royal Bonner and Emory Joshua Bonner, Sr.

Cheryl was educated in the schools of Cherokee County, South Carolina. Upon graduating from Gaffney High School in 1972, Cheryl attended Winthrop University, where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Special Education.

She was employed in the Rock Hill School District over forty years as a middle school teacher.

Cheryl entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 6, 2017. Those left to celebrate her life and honor her memories are her son, Eric Miller II of Rock Hill, S.C.; her brother, Emory Bonner Jr., (Sharon) of Greenville, SC; and her sister, Beverly Mayes of Lawrenceville, Ga.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, 11 a.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Timothy L. Hunter officiating. Interment will follow in Limestone Cemetery.

The family is at the home of James and Cynthia Williams, 101 Ashley Street, Gaffney.
