James Franklin Smith

James Franklin Smith, 71, of 114 Camellia Circle, passed away Wednesday, July 18, in Mary Black Hospital, Spartanburg.

He was born in Gaffney and was a son of the late Joe and Sadie Shippy Smith.

“Frankie” was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a former employee of Hoechst Fibers.

Surviving are: a daughter, Sirena Smith of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a brother of Ronald Smith (Evelyn) of Orange, Conn.; four sisters, Santa Jones (Larry) of Shelby, N.C., Johnette Grant, Andrea and Adele Smith, all of Norwalk, Conn.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Saturday at noon in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Dr. James Sanders, Jr. officiating. Interment will be Monday at 10 a.m., in M.J. Dolly Cooper Veteran’s Cemetery, Anderson.

The family is at the home of Pepras Dalton and Terell Smith, 315 W. Montgomery St.

Cathy Louise Littlejohn Little

Cathy Louise Littlejohn Little, 46, of 300 Goforth St., Apt. E-3, in Cowpens, passed away Friday, July 12, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Wife of James Davis of the home, she was born in Gaffney and was a daughter of the late King Littlejohn, Sr. and Jessie Lee Dawkins Littlejohn.

She was a member of Indian Hill Baptist Church.

Also surviving are: a daughter, Fannita Kashay Harris of Spartanburg; two sons, Tevyn Rhaheim Littlejohn of Gaffney and Diajha Kyree “Wookie” Littlejohn of Spartanburg; brothers, King Littlejohn, Jr. (Roxanne), Terry Morris and Jerry Morris, of Gaffney, Adrian Littlejohn (Rosalyn) of Pittsburgh, PA, Derrick Davidson (Rashida) of Spartanburg; four sisters, Georgette Littlejohn,Vickie Drummond, Bridgette Littlejohn and Willette Littlejohn, all of Gaffney; 6 grandchildren, Khelzi Cochran, Jarriel Jefferies, Xavier, Zy’Marion, McKenzie, and Mariah Littlejohn; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, 2:00 p.m., in Indian Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Anitonette Frazier and Rev. Michael Williamson. Interment will be in New Mount Zion Church Cemetery.

The family is receiving friends at the home of Davion Littlejohn, 108 Blanton Drive (off Northgate Road) daily from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Kelvin Terrell Robbs

Kelvin Terrell Robbs, 62, of 202 Gaffney Ave., passed away Monday, July 16, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He was the son of Kelly Wilson and the late Collossia Robbs McDowell and Paul McDowell.

He was a 1974 graduate of Gaffney High School and a graduate of Auto Mechanics School in Nashville, TN.

Surviving are his: 4 sons, Tyronn Wilkins of Atlanta, GA, Brandon Ellis, of Tallahassee,

FL, Carlos McSwain of Los Angeles, CA, and Ian Freeman of Rutherfordton, NC; 5 daughters, Grenisha Beatty and Chandra Hall (Marque) of Columbia, SC, Shenae Robbs of Gaffney, SC Kelda Gibson (Antoine) of Charlotte, NC, and Raven Logan of Forest City, NC; 3 brothers, Rodney McDowell of Gaffney, SC, Justin Wilson of Los Angeles, CA, and James McKinney of Oxford, AL; 4 sisters, Sebrina Dawkins of Spartanburg, SC, Audrey Oglesby (Steve) and Jeanette Jackson (Tony) of Gaffney, SC, Kia Wilson of Philadelphia, PA; and 15 loving grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at Concord Baptist Church with Minister Caroline Allen Jones and Dr. Michael Bridges. Interment will follow in Gaffney Memorial Park.

The family is at the home of Shenae Robbs, 109 Pineville Road, Gaffney, SC.
