Angela Lipscomb Brown

Angela Lipscomb Brown, 53, of 208 Young Street, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Gaffney and was a daughter of Clyde and Annie Wilkins Lipscomb.

Angela was a member of Concord Baptist Church and choir.

She was a 1983 graduate of Gaffney High School and an employee of Magnolia Company.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons, Brandon Brown (Elisa) of Inman and Anthony Brown of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Kenneth Lipscomb and Donald Lipscomb (Tina) of Gaffney; one sister, Andrea Lipscomb of Gaffney; three grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., in Concord Baptist Church with Dr. Michael A. Bridges officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

She will be in state in the church Tuesday at 1:00 p.m.

Deacon Eddie N. Logan

Deacon Eddie N. Logan, of 87, of 5084 S. Main Street, Cowpens, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018, in Mary Black Hospital, Spartanburg.

Widower of Mazie Roberts Logan, he was born in Cherokee County and was a son of the late Carlisle and Minnie Mayberry Logan.

He was a member and deacon of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, a retiree of Spartanburg County School District 3.

Deacon Logan was preceded in death by siblings, Corrie Brackett, B.L., James, and Joe Dean Logan.

Surviving are: his children, Linda Askari of the home, Jack Logan of Greenville, SC, and Phyllis Logan of Cowpens; 6 grandson, Kenny Logan and Matt Logan, of Boiling Springs, Michael Logan (Tonya) of Kentucky, all reared in the home, Eric and Marques Hardy of Spartanburg, Rev. Tevion Deion Logan of Cowpens; 2 brothers, Roy Logan and Francis Logan of Cowpens; 3 sisters, Minnie Clemmons Makupson and Hettie Mitchell of Cowpens, and Sara Brackett of Columbia, SC; 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Monday, 3:30 p.m., in Piney Grove Baptist Church with Dr. C. Dennis Rector officiating. Military Rites and Interment will be in Island Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

He will be in state in the church Monday at 2:30 p.m.

Annie Elizabeth Lindsay

Annie Elizabeth Lindsay, 71, of 111 Edge Street, Jonesville, SC passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 in her home.

“Bae Bae” as she was affectionately called, was born in Union County, SC on November 28, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Roosevelt Lindsay and Rosa Lee Rice Lindsay.

She was a 1963 graduate of Sims High School in Union, SC. She was a member of Foster Chapel Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Adult Gospel Choir and Sympathy Club. She was a former employee at Sears, a member of Over the Hill Gang Relay for Life Team.

She leaves to cherish loving memories: a son, Ryan Holliway (Tina); a brother, Roosevelt Lindsay Jr.; a special sister, Bessie Thompson; two honorary sons, Slick Gregory and James Bachelor all of Jonesville, SC; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 nephews, 3 great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be Wednesday, October 24th at 1:00 p.m., in Foster Chapel Baptist Church of Jonesville, SC with Rev. W. E. Smith, Pastor officiating.
