Mrs. Cheryl Bonner Miller

Mrs. Cheryl Bonner Miller, 63, of 2252 Mancke Drive, Rock Hill, S.C., was born in Cherokee County to Mary Magdalene Royal Bonner and Emory Joshua Bonner, Sr.

Cheryl was educated in the schools of Cherokee County, South Carolina. Upon graduating from Gaffney High School in 1972, Cheryl attended Winthrop University, where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Special Education.

She was employed in the Rock Hill School District over forty years as a middle school teacher.

Cheryl entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 6, 2017. Those left to celebrate her life and honor her memories are her son, Eric Miller II of Rock Hill, S.C.; her brother, Emory Bonner Jr., (Sharon) of Greenville, SC; and her sister, Beverly Mayes of Lawrenceville, Ga.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, 11 a.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Timothy L. Hunter officiating. Interment will follow in Limestone Cemetery.

The family is at the home of James and Cynthia Williams, 101 Ashley Street, Gaffney.

Zachary Benjamin Harris

Zachary Benjamin Harris, 49, of 409 E. Jr. High Rd., passed away Saturday, November 4, in Mary Black Health System, Gaffney.

He was born in Gaffney and was a son of Joann Harris Ellis and Maurice Ellis, and the late Willie Lee Smith.

Zachary was of the Baptist faith. He was a former employee of Millard Refrigerated Servies, Inc.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a special friend, Cameshia Goode, of the home; 3 daughters, Rashada Jefferies, Dollie Jefferies, and Enchantra Montgomery, all of Gaffney; 5 sons, Michael Watkins of Cowpens, Zactrick Jefferies, Anthony Tate (Shirmel), Lloyd Jefferies and Damion Palmer, all of Gaffney; brother, Anthony Scott Harris of Gaffney, a sister, Eleanor Studyvance (Carl), of Gaffney; Marshal Lindsay (Judy), Florence Morgan, and Bennie Mae Agnew (Eric), and Michael Harris, all of Gaffney who were reared in the home as siblings; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Harris of Chesapeake, VA; great-aunt, Willie L. Dawkins of Gaffney; 10 grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be Thursday, 2 p.m. in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Timothy L. Hunter officiating.

The family is at the home of his parents at 200 W. Claremont St.

Edward “Charlie Boy” Littlejohn

Edward “Charlie Boy” Littlejohn, 63, of 510 Thompson St., passed away Friday, November 3, in Mary Black Health System, Gaffney.

He was born in Cherokee County and was a son of the late Edward and Maggie Whittenburg Littlejohn.

He was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and a former employee of the City of Gaffney and United Beef Company.

Surviving are three children, Sherman Austin, Barenda and Talisha Leach, all of Gaffney; two sisters, Ethel Sue Boyd (James) of Greenville, and Tracie Littlejohn (Chris) of Gaffney; aunts, Billie Sue McFadden, Gerutha Sarratt, Louise Simon, and Essie Littlejohn; uncles, Billy Littlejohn (Ann) and A.W. Littlejohn (Wyonna).

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, 2 p.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Rev. C.A. Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home of Tracie Littlejohn, 608 Marion Avenue.
