Barbara Diane Littlejohn

Barbara Diane Littlejohn, 68, of 359 E. Floyd Baker Blvd., passed away Sunday January 26, 2020, in Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

She was a daughter of Lillie Littlejohn and the late Dean Davis. She was raised by her grandmother, the late Retha Littlejohn.

She was a member of Shady Grove and she was a retired elementary teacher at Mary Bramlett.

She leaves to cherish fond memories: a brother, Harley Littlejohn of Pasadena, MD; two sisters, Ramona Littlejohn and Kimberly Littlejohn both of Providence, RI.

Graveside Service will be Tuesday, 28th, 11:00 a.m., in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Lee Byers, Jr. officiating.

Natka Hardy Elliott

Natka Hardy Elliott, 69, of 111 Peccole Pass, Moore, SC, passed away Saturday, January 25th, in the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of Inez  Butler Hardy  and widow of Lawrence Anthony Carter.

She was a home health aid for IGHL.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Harry Hardy, and a sister, Carnell Davis.

Surviving are: a daughter, Kashea Elliott of Moore, SC; three sons, Clifton Elliott o LongBeach, NY, Hadadi Smith of Jacksonville, NC, and Charles Smith of Belcourt, NY; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Carolyn J Dawkins

Carolyn J Dawkins was born February 8, 1947 in Darlington, SC. She was the fourth born of five children to the late Theo and Reather Jacobs of Norfolk, VA. She departed this life January 24, 2020, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in LaPlata, MD, after a brief illness.

Carolyn was educated in the public schools of Norfolk, VA and received her high school diploma from Booker T Washington High School. After graduation, she received her cosmetology license and worked as Beautician until she retired.

In September 1967, Carolyn married the love of her life, Rev. Lionel B Dawkins. Carolyn was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed taking care of her family and spending time with friends. Carolyn was a faithful member of White Plains Baptist Church in Gaffney, SC. She was a loyal, and dedicated member for over 30 years and served on the Deaconess Board.

Carolyn leaves to mourn her passing: her husband, Rev. Lionel B Dawkins; her two sons, Warren T. (Nickie) Dawkins of White Plains, MD and Bishop Theo J. (Chrysanthemum) Dawkins of Villa Rica, Georgia; five grandchildren, Kimoni Dawkins of White Plains, MD, Isaiah Dawkins (USN), Kiera Dawkins of White Plains, MD, Joshua Dawkins (USN), and Endea Dawkins of Atlanta, GA; two great grandchildren, Aniya Harris and Bryson Dawkins of Maryland; one brother, Theo “Jake” (Jan) Jacobs of Woodbridge, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 31st, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in White Plains Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will be at 803 W. Fairview Ave., Gaffney, SC.
