Donnie Willis

Donnie Willis, age 71, of 220 Vermont Dr., Gaffney, passed away Wednesday, April 3rd, in Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Donnie Lee Willis was born in Gaffney, South Carolina on June 3, 1952 to Catherine Hemphill Willis and Milton Maxwell.

Donnie was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he was on the Deacon Board, the All Male Choir, and Sunday School. He was a United States Navy Veteran and a retiree of Nestle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Bobby Willis (Essie), Tommy Lee Rosemond, Dorothy Mae Brewton (Robert).

He leaves to cherish loving memories: his loving wife, Teresa Smith Willis; his children, Derrick Willis, Donnie Tate, Ronnie Tate, Stephen Jefferies, Sheena Ussery, and Robtees Smith; siblings, Billy Hemphill (Ruby), Betty Jean Robinson (Willie), and Claude Benson Corry (Dorothy Daniels); an uncle, James “Goat” Hemphill; his brother and sisters–in law, Tyrone Smith, Arlet Snith, Gytanna Tate, and Talmadge Smith; 20 grandchildren; a special cousin, Michael Hemphill; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 13th, at 1:00 p.m., in Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. James W. Sanders, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Gaffney Memorial Park. He will lie-in-state an hour prior to service in the church.

The family is receiving friends at 236 Camellia Circle.

Catherine B. Corry

Catherine B. Corry, age 76, of 203 W. Brookwood Ln., Cowpens, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, in her home.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 2nd, at 3:00 p.m., in Young Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Larry Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. She will lie-in-state an hour prior to service in the church.

The family is receiving friends at the home.

Joe Louis Littlejohn

Joe Louis Littlejohn, 86, of 100 Fairfield Avenue, Apt 21-A, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024 in his home.

He was born in Gaffney, South Carolina on January 30, 1938 to the late Reverend Theodore Roosevelt and Lillian Wilburn Littlejohn.

Joe was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. He was an advocate Bass Player for the Flamingo Band. He further his education at Spartanburg Technical College and he was a retiree as an employee for Cherokee County Courthouse.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his parents: his siblings, Alonzo, Theodore, Jr., Marvin, Charles, William Franklin, Sr., Alfonzo, and Maude Mae Littlejohn, Estelle Edwards, Doris Brow, and Sandra Hall.

He leaves to cherish loving memories: two sons, Sean Littlejohn and Joey Littlejohn; two daughters, Doris Littlejohn and Josephine Littlejohn; a sister, Augustine Littlejohn; an aunt, Lidell Logan; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.


A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 6th, at 2:00 p.m., in The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

A Repast will be held at his sister’s- Augustine Littlejohn – 317 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341
