Louise Littlejohn

Louise Littlejohn, age 93, of 100 Fairfield Drive, passed away Thursday in Spartanburg Medical Center.

She was born in Cherokee County and was a daughter of the late Basil Hopper and the late Bernice Littlejohn.  

Louise was a member of Mikes Creek Baptist Church where she served as: Mother of the Church, member of the Hospitality Committee and the Senior Missionaries.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by: a son, Willie James “Pete” Littlejohn; brothers, King Littlejohn and William Earl; sisters, Addie Lattimore, Sandra Huskey, and Blanche Proctor.

She leaves to cherish loving memories: sons, Henry Littlejohn, of Spartanburg, John Littlejohn and Sammy Humphries, both of Gaffney; daughters, Gloria Posey, Linda McDowell, Frances Lewis, and Anita Wallace (Calvin), all of Norfolk, VA, Patricia Henderson, of Greenville, Shirley Littlejohn, of Cowpens, Mary, Rosie, and Audrey Littlejohn, all of Gaffney; brothers, Woodson Earl and Carl Earl (Lois), of Maryland; .daughters-in-law, Bessie Littlejohn of Gaffney and Yvonne Littlejohn, of Spartanburg; other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 13th, at 1:00 p.m. in Mikes Creek Baptist Church with The Rev. Dr. Courtney Mills.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Vinson Edward Galmon

Vinson Edward Galmon, 54, of 413 Marion Avenue, Gaffney, passed away Wednesday, June 5th, in Spartanburg Medical Center.

He was born in Cherokee County and was a son of the late James and Ruth Butler Galmon.

Vinson was a retired employee of Stouffer’s.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two siblings, Tony Galmon and Kathy Galmon.

He leaves to cherish loving memories: four brothers, James Jr., Calvin (Gennie), Jimmy, and Maurice Galmon (Gwendolyn; aunts, Helen Camp and Helen Butler, of Gaffney, Rosa Mae Dawkins and uncle, William Dawkins, of Burlington, NC; other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., in Encounter Church with The Rev. Stanley Watson. Interment will follow in Gaffney Memorial Park

John Willie Brannon, Jr.

John Willie Brannon, Jr., age 72, of406 Peeler Street, Gaffney, passed away Wednesday, May 29th, in Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of his granddaughter, Desteny Nichols, 1222 North Limestone Street, Gaffney, from the hours of 3 to 5 daily.
