Eugenia Fowler-Johnson

Miss Eugenia Fowler Johnson, 44, of 106 Iveywood Apartments on Martin Lane in Gaffney, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, in Spartanburg Medical Center.

She was born in Gaffney and was a daughter of the later Michael Oglesby and the late LeVerne Peeler Oglesby.

“Tinker Bell,” as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, was a 1995 graduate of Gaffney High School, a member of Greater Hope Ministries and served as an usher and Praise Team Dancer.

She was also predeceased by a son, Chancellor Latimer. She leaves to cherish loving memories: her children, LaNyla Fowler and Antony Johnson, of Gaffney; step-son, Antonio Chandler Johnson, Husband, Craig Johnson, Mother-in-law, Elder Edna Johnson, all of Dorchester, SC; step-mother, Gwen Oglesby; siblings, Sierra Michael and Michael Oglesby, II, of Gaffney; supportive aunts, Mary Lee Peeler, Janice Peeler Brown (Solomon), Joyce Jefferies (Kenny), and Nettie Peeler James, all of Gaffney, Esther Moultrie and Betty Joe Pringle, of Dorchester; special cousins, Kyerra, Terrian, and Torien Oglesby, JaKenza and Jamarrius Jefferies, Jairus and Jamaal Dunlap, Kaleb, Rose, and Riley Nelson, Marcus Moultrie; her significant other, Kevin Byers; god sister, Koko, of Greenville; other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, 12:00 a.m., at Limestone Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Caroline Allen Jones, and Rev. Michael Golden, presiding. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.

Tiffany N. Guyton

Miss Tiffany Guyton, age 45, of 112 First Street, Gaffney, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2021, in Cherokee Medical Center.

She was born in Cherokee County and was a daughter of the late Cathy Mae Guyton Williams and her step-father, Sylvester Williams, and Robert Earl Lane.

Tiffany was a member of Mikes Creek Baptist Church, a 1995 graduate of Gaffney High School, and a former employee of Circle K.

In addition to her mother and step-father, she was predeceased by her grandparents, J.T. and Mrs. Rosa Lee Guyton. She leaves to cherish loving memories: her niece reared as her daughter, Aubrianna Peak; two sisters, Natasha Williams of the home and Kelby Dillard, of Gaffney; a brother, Mikel Dillard, of Gaffney; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021, 3:00 p.m., in Mikes Creek Baptist Church with The Reverend Courtney Mills officiating and The Reverend Rashaun Mayberry, eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Sallie G. Watkins

Sallie Gertrude Watkins, age 60, of 112 Clear View Dr., Gaffney, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, in Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

She was born in Gaffney and was the daughter of the late Paul and Laura Camp Watkins.

Sally was a member of Suck Creek Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an Usher, choir Member, and member of the YWA. She was a former employee of Norma’s Truck Stop.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Laura L Watkins; two brothers, Robert Watkins and Paul Watkins.

She leaves to cherish loving memories: two sisters, Julie Mae Watkins and Mary Ann Watkins, both of Gaffney; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 10, 2021, 2:00 p.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel, with The Reverend Tony Macomson officiating. Interment will follow in Suck Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is receiving friends at 108 Conner Drive, Gaffney.
