Kenndy Durvial Thomas, 57, of 210 Webster Street, Gaffney, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021, in his home.
He was born in Washington, D.C., and was a son of Lillie Ruth Thomas and Johnny Logan.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy; a member of New Hope A.M.E. Zion Church in Union, SC, where he was a musician and choir member; and a former employee of Freightliner.
Surviving are: a daughter, Ashley Thomas, of Gaffney; sons, Marcus A. Tate, of Spartanburg, SC, Damarreun Bridges, of Tacoma, WA, and Dylan Meurer, of Simpsonville, SC; brothers, Leon Thomas, of Union, and Jesse Logan, of Spartanburg; eight grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A Graveside Service will be Friday, May 14th, 1:00 p.m., in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery with The Rev. Dr. Michael Bridges officiating.
The family is at the home of his daughter, Ashley Thomas, at 813 Concord Road, Gaffney.

Nathan Eric Littlejohn
Mr. Nathan Eric Littlejohn, answered the Master’s call on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, in his home, 341 Hetty Hill Street, Gaffney, SC.
He was born in Gaffney on November 10, 1960, and was a son of Mrs. Martha Gibbs Littlejohn and the late Nathan Dean Littlejohn.
He was a graduate of Gaffney High School and Vorhees College. Nathan was a member of Limestone Missionary Baptist Church and All Male Choir. He was gifted in music and enjoyed singing and playing the organ. He was a brick mason and a former employee of Waffle House on Hyatt Street in Gaffney.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two siblings, Adrian Littlejohn and Ivy Posey. He leaves to cherish loving memories: his mother, Mrs. Martha Littlejohn, of Gaffney; a son, Joshua Littlejohn; of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Jamarious Smith, Sanaa Littlejohn, and Kaylee Littlejohn; other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, 1:00 p.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Michael Golden officiating. Interment will follow in Gaffney Memorial Park.
The family is at the home of his mother, Mrs. Martha Littlejohn, 1712 W. Buford Street.
Mrs. Shirley Johnson Posey
Mrs. Shirley Johnson Posey, 65, of 117 White Wood Drive, Cowpens, SC, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021, in Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.
Widow of Wilbert Posey, she was born in Cherokee County and was a daughter of the late Avis and Sophia McGill Johnson.
Shirley was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess, usher, and member of the culinary committee. She was a retired employee of Limestone Mills.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Oceleen Houey. She leaves to cherish loving memories: two daughters, Michelle Horne (Jeremy), of Wellford, SC, Terrika Shippy, of Spartanburg, SC; a son, Tommy Johnson, of Moore, SC; sister, Laverne Johnson, of Cowpens; brothers, Elvis Johnson (Debra), of Spartanburg, Billy McGill, of Spartanburg, and Larry McGill, of New York; a special friend, Pablo Rivera, of Cowpens; grandchildren, Whitney Byers, Britanica Johnson, Roniyah Tate, Terrayah Tate, and Ronnie Tate, Jr.; great-grandchild, Ariah Dawkins; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., in Piney Grove Baptist Church, Cowpens, with Rev. Derrick Green officiating and Rev. Dennis Rector, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jeremy Horne, 482 Silver Thorne Drive, Wellford, SC.
