Mrs. Hazel P. Smith

Mrs. Hazel P. Smith, 88, of 335 E. Floyd Baker Blvd., passed away Thursday, July 16th, in Spartanburg Medical Center.

Widow of Boyd Smith, Sr., she was born August 11, 1931 in Inman, SC to the late Florence and Bessie Cannon Pearson.

She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by two sons, Boyd L. Smith, Jr. and Charles Henry Smith; a daughter, Bessie Smith; eight siblings, Hayward, Frank, and Dock Pearson, Otis, Boyce, Paul, John and Ed Burgess.

She leaves to cherish loving memories: four sons, Timothy Smith (Kisha) of Gaffney, Jackie Smith, David Smith, and Joe Smith all of the home; three daughters, Phebe Smith of the home, Marsha Rainey of Gaffney, and Hazel D. Smith of Gaffney;16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

The Funeral Service will be Sunday, 2:00 p.m., in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Marilyn Littlejohn Wagner

Mrs. Marilyn Littlejohn Wagner, 61, of 524 W. Rutledge Avenue, passed away Tuesday, July 14th, in her home.

She was born on February 27, 1959 in Gaffney to the late Claude and Theodosia Knuckles Littlejohn.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Johnny Knuckles, Harold Knuckles, and Edna Messer.

Surviving are: three sons, Antonio Littlejohn, of Greenville, Sammie Littlejohn, of Gaffney and Shannon Oliver, of Spartanburg; three brothers, Walter Littlejohn (Shirley), Clarence Littlejohn (Linda), and Sammy Littlejohn, (Sarah), all of Gaffney; seven sisters, Michelle Littlejohn, Rebecca Littlejohn, Linda Littlejohn, Sylvia Littlejohn, Zelda Littlejohn, Althea Miller (Zavier), all of Gaffney; Nancy Hopper, of Greenville; two grandchildren, Brandon and Zaide Oliver, of Gaffney.

A Graveside Service will be Monday, 12:00 noon, in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Darrell Smith, officiating.

Clarence Edward Bonner, Sr.

Clarence Edward Bonner, Sr., 80, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

He was born on April 17, 1940 in Cherokee County to the late Robert Sr. and Alice Thomas Bonner.

Clarence was a graduate of Granard High School “Class of 1957”, joined Bethel Baptist Church at an early age, and was employed as a Nursing Aid at a New York City Hospital.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Alice Faye Bonner; a sister, Diane Dews; three brothers, L.C. Bonner, Robert Bonner, Jr., and Monroe Bonner.

He leaves to cherish loving memories: a son, Clarence E. Bonner, Jr. of Winston Salem, NC; two sisters, Patricia B. Good and Lillie C. Bonner both of Gaffney; a brother, John L. Bonner of New York City, NY; an aunt, Christine Camp of Gaffney; a special friend, Nancy Cryer; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside Service will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Dr. James Sanders, Jr., officiating. Changes of service may be updated if precipitation. To help prevent the spread of **COVID-19** we ask that you practice social distancing and wear a mask.
