Eddie Boyd Jr.

Eddie Sylvester Boyd Jr., 57, of 126 Meadow Lane, passed away Friday, March 27th, 2020, in his home. He was a husband of Elizabeth Oglesby Boyd.  He was born in Cherokee County by Florence Thulitha Brooks and the late Eddie William Boyd Sr.

He was employed as a Forklift Driver for Footstar, enlisted in the Army after high school, and he was a member of True Holiness Church of The Living God.    

In addition to his father he is preceded in death by a brother, Michael Brooks.

In addition to his wife and mother he leaves to cherish loving memories: two daughters, Tasha C Boyd and Riketah T. Boyd; three brothers, Zaro Boyd, David R. Jamison ( Minister Norma), and John Jamison ( Sharon); three sister, Arlette Smith, Delores Jamison Shippy, and Betty Jamison Copeland ( Dewayne); three grandchildren, Serenity Tate , Janiyah Kesler and Carvito Douglas Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family is at the home of his daughter, Tasha Boyd, 126 Meadow Lane.

Public Viewing will be Friday 3-6 and Saturday 12-5.
 Interment
will be  April 24 at M J Dolly Cooper cemetery.

Bobby Dean Willis

Bobby Dean Willis, 80, formerly of Gaffney passed away Tuesday 24, 2020 in Clinton Maryland. He was a husband of the late Essie Willis and a son of the late Benjamin and Catherine Hemphill Willis.

Wash Gene Wilkins

 

Wash Gene Wilkins was born October 16, 1948 in Cherokee County, Gaffney, SC., to the late Edgar and Gussie Foster Wilkins.

Wash Gene was a graduate of Granard High School and enlisted in the Army in 1967. He was Wed to Sybil A. Wilkins on November 27, 1970 and born to this union 4 children. He was a retired employee of the Gaffney Fire Department and Nestle’s Frozen Food.

He was a former member of Mitchell Chapel F.B.H. Church. He later joined Limestone Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a trustee and on the Male Choir.

Wash Gene Wilkins entered enternal rest at the age of 71 on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at his home in Gaffney, SC. Besides his parents, Wash is preceded in death by one brother, Al Franklin; three sisters, Luvenia Foster, Annie Pearl Forest, and Rosa Lee Manning; a foster daughter Bertie Gill; a grandchild, Kayland Huskey.

He leaves to cherish loving memories: three sons, Altonnia Wilkins of Charlotte, NC., DeAngelo Wilkins (Roshaunda) and Wash Wilkins Jr. (Geneva) both of Gaffney, SC.; a daughter, Kimberly Wilkins of Gaffney, SC., also reared in the home Marie Foster Camp, Trent Dawkins, and Kip Dawkins, all of Gaffney, SC., Anita Norris of Walterboro, SC.; a special daughter Sabrina Huskey; four godchildren, Keith and BJ McDonald, Manasha and Ninda Mcdonald all of Gaffney, SC.; a brother, Dock Copeland (Doris) of Columbia, SC.; a sister, Ann Rainey of Gaffney, SC.; two sister-in-laws, Kathy McDonald and Josie Wilkins both of Gaffney, SC.; ten grandchildren, Washon, Destiny, Gytavia, Faith, Marianna, Gracen, and Joylon Wilkins, Lente. Shataya, and Elijah Foster; two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 28, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Michael  Golden officiating and Rev. Dennis Rector presiding.
