James Lamar Jefferies, age 91, of 122 Connecticut Avenue, of Gaffney, SC, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025, in Anmed Medical Center, Anderson, SC.

Funeral Service with Military Rites will be held Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in Mt Sinai Missionary Baptist Church with The Reverend Claude A. Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in James’ honor, to support the ongoing fight against this disease and to help others in need.

The family will receive friends at 122 Connecticut Avenue from Sunday through Wednesday, between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Carla Shepherd, age 63, of 3254 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025, in her home.

Karen “Kay” Wishert, age 48, of 238 Beaver Dam Road, Gaffney, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, in Cherokee Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.in The Gilmore Mortuary.

The family is receiving friends at her daughters, 120 Erika Lane, Gaffney and 600 Hetty Hill Dr., Gaffney.
