Ms. Ingrid Pearl Littlejohn

Ms. Ingrid Pearl Littlejohn of Richmond Virginia was called home on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.

She was born on June 13, 1968, in New York, NY to Jimmie Lee Littlejohn and Carolyn A. Littlejohn.

Ingrid accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age and became a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY.

Ingrid was a graduate of the Prestigious Phillappa Schuyler School in Brooklyn, NY and Graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in Queens, NY where she participated in the Gifted Program. She continued her education and attended SUNY in Binghamton, NY.

Ingrid became inspired to become a nurse as she enrolled into the J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College Nursing Program in Richmond, VA., while becoming an EMT of the Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad in Richmond, VA.

Upon completion of the nursing program, Ingrid was employed by Ben Secours, St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, VA., where she served as an LPN for 15 years. She continued to pursue and further her education by becoming a registered nurse and her talents were continuously utilized at St. Mary’s Hospital.

She received the prestigious DAISY Award during her tenure at St. Mary’s Hospital which recognizes outstanding clinical skills in nursing.

Ingrid’s passion for nursing allowed her to become an avid member of the Chi Eta Phi registered nursing sorority.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her son, Braeden Lee Weddell; her loving parents, Jimmie and Carolyn Littlejohn; a sister, Mrs. Sonya Fells; a brother in-law, Larry Fells, a niece, Mrs. Tyler Duford, a nephew, Jordan Fells; an uncle, Rev. Tony Makupson; an aunt; Ms. Bobby Gail Smith; a great aunt, Mrs. Ardean Henry; a cousin, Mrs. Ruby C. Byers; a loving and dedicated friend of the family and girlfriend of Braeden, Autumn Lopez; cousins and many friends.


A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 3, 2023, at 3:0p.m., in Suck Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Makeupson officiating.

Jones Clinton Lindsay

Jones Clinton Lindsay, 75, of 114 Olee Road, Gaffney, passed away Saturday, January 21st, in Spartanburg Medical Center.

He was a son of the late Grady and Mrs. Wilma Jefferies Lindsay.

Jones was a 1968 graduate of Granard High School. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church. He was formerly employed at the Redwood Store.

He leaves to cherish loving memories: a daughter, Wilma Denise Crosby (Mark), of Reno, Nevada; five grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, 2:00 p.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with The Reverend Dr. Michael A. Bridges officiating.

The family will be at the home of Laymon and Trena Manning, 116 Olee Road, on Thursday, following the Service

Forace Lee Thompson

Forace Lamar Thompson, 79, of Decatur, Georgia, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023, in Georgia.

Husband of Annie Price Thompson, he was born in Cherokee County, SC and was a son of the late Horace Thompson, Sr. and the late Mrs. Ira Sherrill Thompson.

Forace was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Decatur.  He was a graduate of Granard High School, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a retiree of Avis Car Rental Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Lance Thompson, and brothers, Larry, Gene, and Charles Thompson.

He leaves to cherish loving memories: his wife, Annie, of the home; three brothers, Horace Thompson, Jr., of The Bronx, NY, Weldon Thompson, of Gaffney, and Maurice Thompson, of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Blony Griffith (Brian), of Charlotte, NC and Bonnie Thompson, of The Bronx, NY; two aunts, Lillian Coulter, of Newton, NC and Maggie Hewie, of Brooklyn, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 24th, in Beulah Baptist Church, Decatur, GA.  A Service will be held on Wednesday, 12:00 noon, in Youngs Grove Baptist Church, Blacksburg, SC with The Reverend Dr. Larry Brooks officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
