Ms. Ida B. “Sugar” Wilson, age 58, of 116 General Drive, Gaffney, passed away Sunday morning, September 19th, in her residence.
She was born in Cherokee County and was a daughter of the late Louis, Sr. and Elease Camp Wilson.
She was a former Housekeeper for Mary Black Hospital and a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. She was a mother, sister, aunt, and cousin. Known as “Sugar”, she was a lovable and virtuous woman to many in the community of Tank Branch.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a daughter, LaTanya Wilson and a brother, John M. Wilson.
She leaves to cherish loving memories: two sons, Kelvin Wilson (Vanessa) and Lewis Wilson (Kimberly), both of Gaffney, SC.; two daughters, Crystal Wilson (Travis) and Stacey Wilson, both of Gaffney, SC.; three brothers, Louis Wilson, Jr., Alvin Douglas (Myiesshia), and Kurt Douglas, all of Gaffney, SC.; four sisters, Ethel Wilson, Brenda Wilson (Ernest) and Vickie Douglas, all of Gaffney, Marilyn Gidney, of Shelby, NC; 6 grandchildren, Jamesha Gist, Cameron Wilson, Tim’Myza Valentine, Kaitlin Scott, Lewis Wilson, Jr., and Ke’Andre Studyvance; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021, 2:00 p.m., in Mt Sinai Baptist Church, with The Reverend C.A. Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at 1:00 p.m. in the church.
The family is at the home, 116 General Dr., Gaffney and at the home of her daughter Stacey Wilson, 1551 Overbrook Dr. Lot 37, Gaffney.
