Dennis Wayne Davis

Dennis Wayne Davis, 61, of 1610 Beech Street, passed away October 22, in Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.

He was born in Gaffney and was a son of the late Dewitt and Margaret Linder Davis.

Surviving are: a daughter, Shaneetra Davis of New York, NY; 2 sons, Jermaine and Cornell Davis, all of New York, NY; sisters, Brenda Cunningham (Johnny) and Lisa Williams (David) of Gaffney; brothers, Erven Davis of Brooklyn, NY, Daryl Cole of Tennessee, David Cole of Pennsylvania, Dewitt Ferguson and Dewitt Davis, Jr., of New York, NY.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, 12 noon, in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Mills McHam officiating.

The family is at the home of Brenda and Johnny Cunningham, 410 Chatham Avenue.

Lillian L. Camp

Lillian L. Camp, age 68, of Gaffney, South Carolina, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday afternoon, October 27, 2017, at Mary Black Hospital, Spartanburg, SC.

She was the daughter of Elix Livsey, Sr. and Serphe Webb Livsey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Elix Livsey, Jr.

She is survived by husband, Tracy Littlejohn, Jr. of the home; daughter, Chineta Camp Allison of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughter Toni “Elle” Allison of Spartanburg, SC; former husband, Luther Camp, Jr. of Shelby, NC; two sisters, Teresa Morrow (Charles “Bo” Dawkins) and Wyvonnie Curry (Daniel, deceased), both of Gaffney, SC; two brothers, Alvin Livsey of Gaffney, SC and Alex Brooks (Lorraine) of Shelby, NC; aunt, Lillie Jones of Gaffney, SC; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and she retired from Cherokee County Department of Social Services.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017, from 4:30-7 p.m. at Gilmore Mortuary in Gaffney, SC. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Gaffney, SC. She will lie in state from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Frederick Memorial Gardens in Gaffney, SC.

The family is receiving friends at the home of her sister Teresa Morrow, 108 York Drive, Gaffney, SC from 12-7 p.m.

Edward “Slim” Littlejohn

Edward “Slim” Littlejohn, 87, of 510 Thompson St., passed away Thursday, October 26, in Mary Black Hospital, Spartanburg.

Widower of Maggie Whittenburg Littlejohn, he was born in Cherokee County and was a son of the late Dever and Rehobirth Faucett Littlejohn Holmes.

He was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Edward was preceded in death by siblings, Dever Jr., Albert, Johnnie Joe Epps, and Lula Cannon.

Surviving are: a son, Edward Charles Littlejohn of Gaffney; two daughters, Ethel Sue Boyd (James) of Greenville and Tracie Littlejohn (Chris) of Gaffney; brothers, Billy Littlejohn (Annie) and A.W. Littlejohn (Wyonna), of Gaffney; sisters, Gerutha Sarratt and Louise Simons, both of Gaffney; sisters-in-law, Essie Littlejohn of Washington, D.C., and Billie Sue Shippy McFadden of Gaffney; 15 grandchildren, including Harriet Holmes, reared in the home as a daughter; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, at 2 p.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Rev. C.A. Wallace officiating. Larry Sarratt will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in Mt. Sinai Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home of Tracie Littlejohn, 608 Marion Avenue.
