Dr. James Weldon “Jimmy” Norris, age 90, of Upper Marlboro, MD, formerly of Jonesville, SC, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2025, in his home.

Gloria Yvonne Rosemond, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, transitioned to her heavenly home on June 18, 2025, at the age of 74 at La Plata Center in Maryland. Born on March 14, 1951, in Washington, DC, Gloria was the daughter of the late James Rosemond and Mary Ellen Roberts Rosemond.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Gloria’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 25, 2025, in the Gilmore Mortuary Chapel.

The family warmly invites loved ones and friends to share memories and fellowship during a repast at MK’s Event Center located at 126 Willis Plaza in Gaffney, immediately following the service.

Interment will be private.

Ja’Riah Nevaeh Thompson, age 10, of 514 Browning Road, Gaffney, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in Cherokee Medical Center. Daughter of Tavaris Thompson and Shana Galmer.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., in Limestone Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Michael L. Golden presiding and Reverend Bryant Starnes officiating.

A Public Viewing will be held at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service.

The family is receiving friends at the home, 514 Browning Road, Gaffney and 323 Coach Hill Drive, Gaffney.
