Shaundra Evette Lindsay Bridges

Shaundra Evette Lindsay Bridges, 38, of 524 W. Rutledge Ave., Gaffney, SC, passed away Tuesday, June 14th, in Gaffney, SC.  She was the wife of Alex Bridges, III.

She was born in Cherokee County on September 26, 1983 to Sherry Lindsay.

Evette, as she was affectionately called, was a sweet soul who loved and would help anyone if she could. She was quick with a comeback, and had the best sense of humor. She valued family over everything. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her children and grandchildren dearly. Evette was well loved by her family and friends, and she will truly be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by: her grandmothers, Betty Jean Lindsay and Ruth Lee Mayberry; grandfather, Nathan Mayberry; grandfather-in-law, Alex Bridges Jr.; great- grandparents, Benjamin & Maggie Thompson; two uncles, Roger Lindsay & Terry Lee Jamison, Jr.; and her cousin who was like a brother, Richard “Man” Lindsay.

In addition to her husband and mother she leaves to cherish loving memories to her children: Left to cherish fond memories along with her mother and husband are: six children, KeyAsia Lindsay, Undre Lindsay, Endyia Lindsay, Travis Smith Jr., X’zeavion Bridges, and Omarrion Bridges; four grandchildren, Kensley Lidsay, Kayden Lindsay, Dreland Lindsay, and Demi Lindsay; seven sisters, Kuluia Lindsay, Skyla Lindsay, Becky Littlejohn, Quayla Satterwhite (Quinton), Andrea Lindsay, Toykeshia Lindsay, and Kimberly Lindsay; three brothers, Scottie Lindsay, Tavaris Thompson, and Johnta Thompson (Latasha); grandmother, Shirley Jamison; grandfather, William Davis; grandmother-in-law, Pastor Lizzie Mae Bridges; mother-in-law, Charlotte Bridges; father-in-law, Alexis Joe Bridges, Sr. (Tierra); brothers-in-law, Alexander Bridges and Alex Joe Bridges, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Alexis Bridges, Charlexis Camp (Larry), and Charnica Bridges; aunts, Doris Lipscomb, Sarah Lee Lindsay, Tondra Lindsay, Wanda Crowder (Sean), Ann Lindsay, Mary Mayberry, Bessie Mayberry, Catherine Hassion (George), Essie Bell Richard, Belva Studyvance (Neal), Dorothy Dewberry, Bennie Knuckles, Pernice Knuckles, Veronica Adams, Sabrina Husky, Shannon Rodgers, Cassandra Smith (David), and Jackie Bridges (James); uncles, Charles Lindsay (Brenda), Tyron Lindsay, William Lindsay, Bobbie Jefferies (Debra), and Bob Tate; a nephew who was like a son, Tre Benson; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in Concord Baptist Church with The Rev. Dr. Michael Bridges officiating.  Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.
