Susan “Susie” Phillips, 72, of 107 Avondale Drive, entered eternal rest on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Cherokee County, a daughter of the late J.B. Watkins and Myrtle Phillips Mc- Cluney. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.

Widow of Cordell Pearson, she was born in Washington, D.C., a daughter of William Henry Coleman and Mary Elizabeth Washington Coleman. She was a member and former choir member of Mt.
