Annie Elizabeth Lindsay

Annie Elizabeth Lindsay, 71, of 111 Edge Street, Jonesville, SC passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 in her home.

“Bae Bae” as she was affectionately called, was born in Union County, SC on November 28, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Roosevelt Lindsay and Rosa Lee Rice Lindsay.

She was a 1963 graduate of Sims High School in Union, SC. She was a member of Foster Chapel Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Adult Gospel Choir and Sympathy Club. She was a former employee at Sears, a member of Over the Hill Gang Relay for Life Team.

She leaves to cherish loving memories: a son, Ryan Holliway (Tina); a brother, Roosevelt Lindsay Jr.; a special sister, Bessie Thompson; two honorary sons, Slick Gregory and James Bachelor all of Jonesville, SC; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 nephews, 3 great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be Wednesday, October 24th at 1:00 p.m., in Foster Chapel Baptist Church of Jonesville, SC with Rev. W. E. Smith, Pastor officiating.

Kenneth Littlejohn, Sr.

Kenneth Dewayne Littlejohn, Sr. passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Cherokee County, SC on August 23, 1963 to Nesbitt Littlejohn, Sr. and Katherine Black Littlejohn.

Kenneth was a graduate of Gaffney High School, a member of Jesus Is The Answer Ministries, and a former employee of Brown’s Packing Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents; seven siblings, Nesbitt Jr., Mary Josephine Phillips, Barbara Baxter, Betty Lue, Arthur Ray, David Lewis, and Eddie Dean Littlejohn.

Surviving are: a son Kenneth Littlejohn, Jr. of Gaffney; a sister, Carolyn Davidson, of Gaffney; two brothers, James Belton Littlejohn of Alexandria, VA and Wilbert Tracy Littlejohn (Kim) of Gaffney; sister-in-law, Mildred Littlejohn, of Gaffney; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Services will be Monday, October 8th at 2:00 p.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Reverend C.A. Wallace officiating.

Deggie Denise Smith

Deggie Denise Smith, 56, of 401 McCluney Drive, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018, in her home.

Wife of Harry Lee Smith, she was born in Cherokee County and was a daughter of the late Jerline Dawkins.

She was a 1980 graduate of Gaffney High School. Deggie was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church where she served as an usher, member of the YWAs and Culinary Committee.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Shedrick Dawkins; grandparents, Ella and Hollis Dawkins, Sr., nephew, Jamal Dawkins; uncle, Lyman Dawkins, Sr.; aunts, Osteen Dawkins, Willie Ruth Tate, and Lillie Mae Woods (Horace).

Surviving are: her husband, Harry Lee Smith of the home; two daughters, Chasity Smith-Parker (Paul) and Ariel Smith; one son, De’Arron Smith; a sister, Melanie Dawkins; grandson, Demerius Coleman; aunts, Inez Dawkins, Marva Littlejohn (Frank), and Verlie Littlejohn (Thomas); uncles, Bob Tate and Hollis Dawkins; nephews, Elijah Dawkins and Chad Byers, Sr.; brother-in-law, Grant Smith; two special children, TraQuanda Hunt of Gaffney and Kelsi Gist of Boling Springs, SC.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, 2:00 p.m., in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Rev. Rev. Darrell Smith officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. She will be in state in the church Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
