Mrs. Sugarmine “Coot” Littlejohn Sarratt, 75, of Gaffney, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021 in Ellen Sagar Nursing Home, Union, S.C.
She was born in Union, SC and was a daughter of the late Nesbitt and Georgia Mae Allen Littlejohn.
Sugarmine was a member of White Plains Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Limestone Mills, Jet Cleaners, Broad River Truck Stop and Home Health Care.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Willie Sarratt; a daughter, Renita (Peaches) Littlejohn; a granddaughter, Mykiriyah Sarratt; her siblings, Darlene Smith, Versie Lee Littlejohn, Wilbert Littlejohn, Matthew Littlejohn, and Paul Littlejohn
She leaves to cherish loving memories: two daughters, Leslie T. Littlejohn and Michelle Sarratt, both of Gaffney; a son, Michael Sarratt, of Gaffney; eight grandchildren, Georgiana Littlejohn, Latarsha Littlejohn, Leslie M. Littlejohn, Larry Austin, Jr., T’ Keyah Sarratt, Michael Sarratt, Jr., Jerome Ross, and Jordan Sarratt, all of Gaffney; a niece reared in the home, Minister Juanita Dewberry (Minister Chris), nine great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Public Viewing will be held Wednesday from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 17th, 3:00 p.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Juanita Giles officiating. Interment will follow in Gaffney Memorial Park.
The family is at the home of her sister, Raven , at 108 Gateway Dr., Gaffney

Pierrè Sherard Hollis
Pierrè Sherard Hollis, 39, of 217 Gaffney Avenue, Gaffney, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021, in Cleveland County, NC.
He was born in Cherokee County, SC and was the son of James (JB) Byars and Sandi Coleman.
Pierrè was a 2000 graduate of Gaffney High School. He was employed as a Forklift Operator at Nestle.
He was predeceased by his great grandparents, Janice (Red) Coleman, Mr. and Mrs. Grady Hollis, Sr., Deacon Louis Lockhart and Virginia Jefferies.
In addition to his parents he leaves to cherish loving memories: his children, Lil Pierrè Hollis, Laila Kelly, Simyria McGill, King Wray, Ma’Nyla Palmer, and Dwade Tate; two brothers, Derrick Smith and Michael Crate; a sister, Jameria Byers; grandfathers, James (Butterball) Hollis (Jacqueline) and Willard Smith; grandmother, Dorothy Byars; a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be Friday, June 11th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., in the Gilmore Mortuary.
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, June 12th, 11:00 a.m., in Fredrick Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dr. Timothy L. Hunter officiating.
Kenndy Durvail Thomas
Kenndy Durvial Thomas, 57, of 210 Webster Street, Gaffney, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021, in his home.
He was born in Washington, D.C., and was a son of Lillie Ruth Thomas and Johnny Logan.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy; a member of New Hope A.M.E. Zion Church in Union, SC, where he was a musician and choir member; and a former employee of Freightliner.
Surviving are: a daughter, Ashley Thomas, of Gaffney; sons, Marcus A. Tate, of Spartanburg, SC, Damarreun Bridges, of Tacoma, WA, and Dylan Meurer, of Simpsonville, SC; brothers, Leon Thomas, of Union, and Jesse Logan, of Spartanburg; eight grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A Graveside Service will be Friday, May 14th, 1:00 p.m., in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery with The Rev. Dr. Michael Bridges officiating.
The family is at the home of his daughter, Ashley Thomas, at 813 Concord Road, Gaffney.
