Mrs. Loree Jones Graham

Mrs. Loree Jones Graham, 89, of 805 Hetty Hill Street, passed away Saturday in her home.

Widow of Charles M. Graham, she was born in Spartanburg County and was a daughter of the late Abraham and Cora Montgomery Jones.

She was a member of Limestone Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess, Sr. Choir Member, former Secretary of the Adult Sunday School Class, and former member of the Flower Committee. She was a member of Virgin Mary Chapter 192 Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are two daughters, Betty Edwards and Ella Gulent, both of Gaffney; three granddaughters, Tina, Glenda, and Paula Edwards, all of Gaffney; a sister, Mary McCoy of Greer; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 6 in Limestone Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Golden officiating. Interment will follow in Gaffney Memorial Park. She will be in state in the church Tuesday at noon.

The family is at the home of Betty Edwards, 152 Camellia Circle.

Ermy Jean Garrison Smith

Ermy Jean Garrison Smith, 74, of 505 Granite Drive, passed away Monday, January 29, in her home.

She was born in Cherokee County and was a daughter of the late Bishop and Ermy Galloway Garrison.

Ermy was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Granard High School, retiree of Cone Mills, and former owner of Smooth Operator Styling Salon on Hetty Hill St.

She was preceded in death by: a son, Timothy Smith; a sister, Elna Sue Johnson, and a brother, Bishop Garrison.

Surviving are: two sons, Joe Garrison (Betty) of the home, Samuel Smith (Tamara) of Blacksburg; two daughters, Jacqueline Denise Benson and Natasha Dover, both of Gaffney; daughter-in-law, Sherry Smith of Gaffney; sisters, Delois Manning of Spartanburg, Lillie Ruth Edwards of Charlotte, and Minnie Hamilton of Hartford, CT; sister-in-law, Betty Garrison of Gaffney; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Friday, 1 p.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with The Reverend Timothy L. Hunter officiating.

Henry Junior Huskey

Henry Junior Huskey, 56, of 1358 Leadmine Road passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Cherokee County and was a son of Mrs. Evelyn Valentine Huskey and the late Eddie Huskey.

He was a Baptist and a retired employee of Timken.

Surviving are: a son, Jonathan Huskey of Columbia; a daughter, Sgt. Nivia Huskey (Jessica) of the U.S. Marines in Quantico, VA; mother, Mrs. Evelyn Huskey of Gaffney; 3 brothers, Eddie Dean Huskey (Christine) of Columbia, Hoyal Wallace Huskey (Glenda) of Blacksburg, and A.D. Huskey (Janice) of Cowpens; a sister, Debra Corry of Greenville, S.C.; 4 grandchildren.

Services will be Friday, 1:00 p.m., in Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with Rev. C.A. Wallace officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. He will be in state in the church Friday at 12 noon.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in The Gilmore Mortuary.
