Nakita L. Phillips, 45, of 5229 MacAndrew Drive, Charlotte, NC, departed this life , September 12th, in Salisbury, NC.
She was born on May 29, 1975 to Lillie V. Phillips and Ronnie McDowell.
She became a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Henrietta, NC at an early age.
Those left behind to cherish the fond memories are her children, Desmond Phillips, Diontae Brown, and Destiny Phillips all of Charlotte, NC., Dontez McManus of Vegas Nevada; three grandchildren, Amiyah Henderson and Malaysia Mcillwaime both of Charlotte, and Kamara McManus of Las Vegas, Nevada; a sister Carla Stroud (Derrick) of Georgia; three brothers Roderick Phillips of Charlotte, NC, Antron Bristol (Jacqueline) of Spartanburg, SC, and James Brandon Bristol of Boiling Springs, NC; two aunts, Sandra Phillips of Henrietta, NC, and Dorothy Dawkins of Forest City, NC; a uncle, Leon McDowell of Philadelphia, PA; two cousins raised like sisters, Ann Phillips of Mooresboro, NC, and Missy Dawkins of Forest City, NC; a special cousin as only she could call him her “Boogie Boo”, Knowledge Lattimore; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside Services will be Saturday, 1:00 p.m., in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Henrietta, NC with Rev. Dr. Timothy L. Hunter, officiating.
