Mrs. Debra Ann Surratt McEntire, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, in Forest City Hospice of Carolina Foothills.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 12:00 noon with a 30 min visitation prior to service in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Timothy L. Hunter officiating. Interment will follow in Suck Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
Charles Keith Allen
Charles Keith Allen, age 62, of 133 Sherman Drive, Boiling Springs, SC, passed away January 14th, in Forest City Hospice of Carolina Foothills.
Husband of Cynthia Browning Allen, he was born in Cherokee County and was a son of Margaret Tate Allen and the late Horace Allen.
Charles leaves to cherish loving memories his wife, Cynthia Browning Allen, of Boiling Springs; two sons, Brian Wilkins (Lakesha), of Gaffney, Rashawn Littlejohn (Terika), of Gaffney; two daughters, Clariece Allen and Tiffany Allen, both of Spartanburg; four brothers, Torry Allen (Vette), of Gaffney, Lee Tate (Wanda), of Gaffney, Raymond Faulcon, of Atlanta; two sisters, Bonita Dawkins, of Spartanburg, Kathy Faulcon, of Anderson; sixteen grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service will be Sunday, January 28, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with The Reverend C. A. Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Mt Sinai Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Sandra “San” Smith
Sandra Kay Smith, daughter of the late Garnell Smith and the late Jimmy Carpenter, was born in Gaffney, South Carolina on September 3, 1960.
She attended the Public Schools in Gaffney. Affectionately known as “San” by her family and friends, attended the Public Schools in Gaffney. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a former employee of Freightliner.
San was a “people person” and delighted in helping others. Her generous spirit was extended to all, regardless of their ethnicity or station in life. She will be greatly missed in the community
She departed this life on Thursday, January 18, 2024, in Cherokee Medical Center, Gaffney, SC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by step-father, Bobby Oglesby, and a sister, LaDonna Miller.
She leaves to cherish loving memories: stepmother, Rose Carpenter; two sons, Billy Smith and Edward Smith, both of Gaffney; a daughter, Tonitra Smith, of Gaffney; two brothers, Rickey Smith and McKarios Carpenter, both of Gaffney; five sisters, Elizabeth Boyd, Dr. Sharon Jefferies (Quinton), Jackie Brown, Karen Thorne, and Tracy White, all of Gaffney; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; special friend, Edward Coleman; a special sister, Minister Cathy Neal (Quentin); a God Daughter, Trina Haney Peake; God sister, Barbara F. McClain; God brothers, Jerry Morris, Michael Howell, Robert Epps, Rashawn Miller, and Tony Jefferies.
